1) Tell us a little about yourself

We’re three friends from İstanbul,Turkey. Actually me (Ayça) and Işıl are sisters and Duygu is a highschool friend of ours.

 

2) Tell us a little about your shop

Ever since we met each other we thought about creating something and finally we found it the perfect thing. We all love to sew and knit. And we all love to be at home so much. So we now get together to make cozy pajamas.

 

 

3) How/Where do you find your inspirations for your designs?

We love to be pure and simple. We try to imagine a sunny day, one that you just want to lie down and watch the trees, listen to birds or a rainy day and you want to drink some hot chocolate when watching a movie under the blankets. This coziness give us inspiration.

 

 

4) When did you open your shop and how was the startup process?

We opened our Etsy shop in April 2011. It will be a nearly a year but we sold 32 items so far!  We try to increase our sales on Etsy in joining the teams & making treasuries.

 

 

5) What is your favorite item that you’ve made ?

Işıl : Sleepwear Overbust and Pants
Duygu: Sleepwear Jumpsuit
Ayça: Balloon Nightshirt

 

 

6) What do you plan to do in the future with this shop?
We wish to quit our day jobs and to make our efforts just for “Poplin Homewear”

 

 

7) What advice would you give to start-up shops?
Based on our observations the photos are the most important thing on Etsy. They should be attractive and clear.

 

 

8) If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
We really love to be in Turkey, especially in İstanbul. But if we had to choose another city to live, we said:
Işıl: Roma
Duygu: Berlin
Ayça: Prague

First we went to get some Chinese food & some Starbucks and then we went to the beach (which had grass as well) and sat at a table and enjoyed our food & time together.

I absolutely love this cheetah scarf. You can wear something plain and add this scarf to your outfit to add a pop of color :)

Even though this outfit is plain, it looks very comfortable and pretty for a long day at school :)

This is one of my favorite outfits from this blog, I adore this tan/light brown colored poncho!

Here’s a cute tutorial for you! Normally I post up the tutorial of the week on Fridays but this weekend I’m going to a church retreat and won’t have access to the internet. Up there I decided to set up a photobooth for fun and I was trying to think what other props to bring so I made these paper doily bowtie necklaces, inspired by Freena’s designs. This is a bowtie you can use in many ways, you can decorate a gift with them or make a card or a hair accessory and whatever else you can imagine! :) I hope you enjoy it!
