Here’s a fun little tutorial for you since I had some iron-on sheets left over. (woot woot)
Basically I just followed the iron on directions off the packet (I got that at Michaels for about $4) but instead of a tshirt I used lace fabric. I then measured a white piece of paper to fit (that way the lace wouldn’t have contrast but you can definitively skip that part if you prefer contrast) and taped it on the base. Then I positioned my lace fabric, used the glass to weigh it down while I cut it, then taped it all around the frame and put it in place. Simple as that :)
This would make a great present as well, especially for a bridal shower!

Here’s a fun tutorial I found on youtube. It show’s you 2 things;

1) How to tiedye and fringe a shirt

2) How to make a necklace.

This tutorial is by Danica Ybanez from the FIDM Club blog.

So this week I’ve moved my sewing machine and crafts back upstairs to my room and I loved reorganizing everything and throwing the things I don’t use into storage. It feels alot more de-cluttered and clean and while doing so I noticed how messy my cabinets looked since they are transparent. It was bugging me and while I was cleaning one of them I found these old paint flyers from Homedepot. I got these flyers a while ago to use as color inspirations for projects and stored them since. Check out what a difference it made!

Oh and these are great storage drawers, pretty affordable as well and you can always paint them to make them match your room. I will do a full post on my new room in detail later this week but for now I wanted to share with you this quick tutorial.

take a white piece of paper and fold it to the right size of your drawer, you can also cut it to that size, and put some tape on one end

DSC_0008

get your color pallet flyers from homedepot

DSC_0009

for this size drawer (12by12) you need 2 flyers

this is what the flyer looks opened

DSC_0012

so just slide the flyer in between the white paper and the plastic and then use that tape to tape the top

it looks much better, you could even to the same color in different shades all the way down

Last Saturday we had a fieldtrip with our Sunday school class {wrote about it here} and got simple blue tshirts and made it a contest to decorate them. It was fun to see the different tshirts the kids decorated. This was what I did and decided to make a tutorial out of it in case any of you need an inspiration. :)
I would write in more detail but I’ve been working all day on props for a photobooth for this weekend (photos to come) and can barely keep my eyes open.
I’m like in the Super sleepy mode right now

haha

Let me know if you have any questions on this tutorial and I’ll be happy to help! :)
