This week I saw an amazing makeover on the Extreme House Makeover show off ABC. I LOVE the kitchen and dining room area the most. Check out the lovely photos;
My portfolio finally came from printing (blurb.com) and I only had today to make a cover for it so I can turn it in to Woodbury University tomorrow! So I sat and thought of what I wanted.. crisp lines, white & pure, angular, yet delicate – almost a mix of contemporary with chic.
I got some white vinyl I had and started with a simple shape to fit the portfolio, then decided on an angle flap. After I finished sewing it all together I looked around for what I could add to make it chic, and found a few paper doilies I had from Rubies Diner. So I took one & sewed it on and then I sewed my title on top of that. Lastly I hole punched it and put in the snap closure.
I love it, it seems to describe my style perfectly and it matches the portfolio as well :)
It’s pretty simple to make one! Give it a try, and if you sew with vinyl or leather use some tissue paper on top as you sew to make even stitches. Let me know if you have any questions! :)

Driving in LA with my brother :]
One of our many adventures!
Downtown LA is beautiful at night, especially the Disney Concert Hall and MOCHA area. :]
I took fast photos while driving and then combined the layers in photoshop and used the animation tool in photoshop to make these animations.

We’ve been working {a group of architecture students and some architects} on designing a 2 acre backyard for orphan girls. In order to understand the site better we made this model in which we can see the slopes. We are adding trees on it as well so we can understand the shadows on the site and then we will continue with our plans from inspirations we have gathered.

INSPIRATION:
The past week my dad and I have been working hard on these cabinets and I am happy to say the doors are up! :)
On the left door we painted it with magnetic pain {bought it at homedepot} so I can use magnets to put up inspirations or designs for my sewing and arts. On the right door I have taped a border {yes the pretty border is tape! I got it from my mami’s scrapbooking collection haha} and then with thin strips of tape I have made a calendar as well. Originally I was going to paint a whiteboard textured background but then realized the wood itself was so glossy that it worked without it {whew saved myself 20$ there}!
Finally everything is organized and clean and ready for me to be creative! :)

INSPIRATION:
As some of you might have seen I have designed a cabinet for my room that will go around my existing furniture. These past few days I’ve been designing, getting measurements, shopping for supplies, and working on it. Yesterday my dad and I went to Home depot and bought the wood {and baskets} and started making it. This is what we have so far! We still need to cut 2 more shelves for the left side of the cabinet and we need to make the doors still.
I’m super excited ! I loooove it and its fitting everything so nicely {I am reorganizing everything in my room right now}.
I have the best dad ever! :) THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP DADDY!!
