My friends and I went on a last minute adventure to Laguna Beach to watch the sunset and I’m so happy we did. It was one of the most beautiful and colorful sunsets I have ever seen. The pink and purple hues seem to paint the sky with a watercolor effect which makes me ponder on our talented Creator.
Beautiful right? Take a couple hours this week to watch a sunset and admire the free art in the sky :)
One of the great things that came with me not moving to LA is that I get to still go on random driving adventures with my brother. It’s one of the things that helps us bond and in a way getaway from the stress of life. He loves to drive and I love to take photos so we hop in the car and drive somewhere (usually somewhere we’ve never been before), take photos, and find a place to get food.
This time we went into the canyons around Brea and saw some beautiful houses and even some cute horses!
It was a beautiful day and a great adventure. I highly recommend when you have to many things piled up or you just need a quick vacation that you jump in your car with people that make you happy, roll down your windows, and drive somewhere you haven’t been before. Let the fresh air flow through the car and don’t be afraid to stop along the way to see new places.
And by my kids I mean my Sunday School class of course. Let’s rewind a bit to the beginning… once upon a summer our church needed someone to teach the crafts class for VBS {vacation bible school} and although I was a bit scared to do it I decided to give it a try. That summer I taught many craft projects for kids at a variety of ages from preschool to 5th grade and had a blast getting to know them and their fun personalities. After that summer was over I still wanted to be involved with the kids and decided to co-teach 3-5 grade classes at Sunday School. At first I was scared (the younger kids were always easier to teach since they can be distracted easily and tricked :P) but at this age they act differently. They want to be independent and love to test the teachers haha. There was a point where I wanted to give up but as I got to know them individually I can honestly say they are great kids. I love to see their personalities shine and to hear what they have to say (they’re creative little critters). I’m so thankful for them and for what they have taught me. I’m also very thankful for Ramona, the main leader of our class. I’ve learned so much from her as well, and from her kind heart and patience with the kids. She’s helped me grow as a person and thank God for her. :)
Last Saturday we went of a field trip to Disneyland with the kids {yes all 19 kids} !! It was a hectic, draining, beautiful, happy, smile filled day and well worth it. I loved getting to know each child and seeing their joyful faces being at the ”happiest place on earth”.
Here are some photos of the day; 19 kids + 6 adults + disneyland = beautiful chaos
Today we did the most in Catalina because we had allll day {7am -11pm}.
yumm a Nutella Crepes with bananas on top and a glass of cold milk ;) now that’s a delicious breakfast!
Then we went downtown and on the pier. The breeze & the sound of the waves were so relaxing.

Then we went in this Semi-Submarine {only part of it is underwater} and saw sooo many fish.
Then we rented out a golf cart {that’s one of the main ways to get around the island} and drove around & took photos. It was definitively fun to ride the golf card and even better in these amazing views.
This weekend I went on a, much needed, vacation to Catalina with my family. We left on Friday and stayed till Sunday afternoon :)
To get to Catalina Island you have to take a ship from Long Beach to the island itself, which takes about 1 hour. The ship drive itself was beautiful; we relaxed in the breeze, saw a rainbow, talked, and even saw 3 dolphins! As we pulled up to the island it got more and more peaceful and beautiful!
Here are the photos from Friday, in the same order I took them:

INSPIRATION:
I am working on a creative resume for a photography job and I used this video in the ‘about me’ spread while writing was popping up. My mother filmed it with my slr camera {Nikon d5000} and I put it together. It turned out pretty cool, I want to go and film someone else now to play with the aperture and the blurs :]
