I love working with leather, it’s a fabric that is strong and long lasting and there’s something special about having a leather bag. My cousin send me a leather piece from Romania and I’ve been so scared to use it with the fear of messing up and ruining it but with such a simple tutorial I think I might just give it a shot :)

Let me know how it works out for you! :)

Here’s a preview of the tutorial;

Rings are a cute and fun way to spice up an outfit! I like the fact that rings aren’t a HUGE accessory, you can usually pair an outfit with a ring or two :)

This ring is very unique and pretty :) I like how it is a mix of white gold and gold!

This ring is bold and bright, this aqua blue gives this ring the extra pop of color it needs :)

LOVE, love these YSL rings :) i wouldn’t pair them all together but the design is just fantastic!

intro

Hello ladies! Here’s a fun tutorial for you :)
Lately a fishtail braid has been really popular for your hair ~>

and so has the friendship bracelets!
I started making friendship bracelets sometime in highschool because I would have to go to alot of dr appointments with my mother and to pass the time I would carry my embroidery strings with me and make bracelets for my friends. Over the years I’ve improved my skills and learned many different ways to do them and after seeing so many fishtail braid photos on pinterest I got the idea to try it with strings! It is the same concept, take a little bit from the edge and bring it in the middle, and it works! I am working on these to add them in my shop in early may along with my wire bracelets and I thought I’d share with you how they are made so you can try it yourself as well. Enjoy!

1

gather all your supplies...

2

use as much thread as you want (the more strings=the thicker the bracelet). Here I used 45 strings. Cut all of them at 14 inches...

3

get your clipboard and clip a little tail out... take one string and pull it longer than all the rest...

4

now you

then bring it under the pile of strings and over the one string... pull tight ...

6

continue doing this, maybe 4 more knots ....

7

now get one of your rings ...

8

slip it on the one string and continue making a few knots...

9

now take the strings out from the clipboard and flip it around (with the small end up) ...

10

separate your strings in 2 (does not have to be exact) ...

11

take 2 strings from the left side ...

12

bring it over and to the right side ...

13

take 2 strings from the right side ...

14

and bring them over to the left side ...

15

you basically transfer 2 strings back and forth in an order ...

16

as you keep going you start to see it form a shape ...

17

make sure to keep it tight all the way ...

18

then after it

19

add a ring at this end too and tie a few more knots ...

20

and now you should have this ... now you can use your pliers to add another ring to these and the magnets

21

and you should have this

22

here

23

you can now play around with this idea and try different colors, sizes, adding wire words, adding leather, adding chains, etc

Hope you liked this tutorial! Let me know if you are stuck and need help with your project and don’t forget to mix it up and try new things with this technique!! We’ll have these bracelets and a few more like them in our store early May!

Balloons, who doesn’t love balloons? :)

Put a glowstick inside before blowing up. Perfect for night time parties!

Balloon Invites!

Taping the strings at various heights creates a wall of balloons giving you an instant backdrop of clouds!
